Can I use Overnight A Complex every night?
If you have built up tolerance to the retinol, then yes, you can. We suggest that for the first few applications, you have a 2-day break in between, then apply alternate nights. If your skin is showing no signs of irritation, then nightly application can be tried
Can I layer Overnight A Complex with other products?
Overnight A Complex contains a comprehensive complex of ingredients that should mean you don’t require other products; however, if you would like to add a moisturiser after your serum, then this is fine after 2 mins.
Can I use Overnight A Complex on acne-prone skin?
Absolutely, while not made specifically for acne, it does contain several ingredients that would support an acne-prone skin.
Can I use Overnight A Complex on rosacea or sensitive skin?
Yes, due to the anti-inflammatories and ceramide complex, even sensitive skin types are able to use Overnight A Complex. However, always start with a lower frequency of use and build up, to allow the skin time to adjust to the actives.
Does Overnight A Complex contain fragrance?
No.
Can I use Overnight A Complex as a day serum too?
It is not recommended. Overnight A Complex is blended to support the natural repair and regeneration of the skin that occurs when we sleep, so it will be much more effective at night.
Am I safe to go in the sun after using Overnight A Complex?
Yes, the only extra precaution with retinol and sun exposure would be if your skin was irritated at any point. If the skin is a little red, dry or irritated, then extra precaution is advised when going in the sun.
Can I use Overnight A Complex during pregnancy?
No, currently the recommendation for pregnancy and during breastfeeding is to avoid products containing any type of vitamin A or its derivatives.
What strength retinol is Overnight A Complex?
It contains a 0.3% liposomal retinol, allowing for optimum penetration with a low risk of intolerance.
Can I use Overnight A Complex around my eyes?
It has not been formulated for use directly around the eye, however, you can place a small amount up to the orbital bone.
Since using the Overnight A Complex I have noticed some irritation and dry skin patches – should I stop using it?
Cease use until all irritation has cleared, then reintroduce but with less frequency. Try every 3rd or 4th night for several weeks, then incrementally step up frequency.
Should I wear an SPF the day after using Overnight A Complex?
We always recommend the use of SPF daily to protect the skin from DNA damage. When using products which contain acids and vitamin A, which encourage cellular renewal and peeling, it is more important to be diligent with protection.
Is the packaging recyclable?
Yes, the carton and leaflet are recyclable with paper and card.
The bottles are recyclable, but as they are different materials, they should be dismantled into three parts (this is easily done):
- lid
- outer bottle
- inner bottle with pump
Rinse out any residual product and recycle with mixed plastics recycling at home.
The sachets are recyclable but need to be put in the plastic carrier bag recycling bin at your local supermarket or high street store.
